Toe Up Sock Links
Here are many links I have found for toe up socks. I havn’t tried most of them, but wanted to keep them handy for checking. I looked at all of them at one point in time, and have come up with my own method that I will try to write up and post. I found Barb’s instructions on Tostetoes extremely helpful. Instead of the Figure 8 cast on, I have switched to the Turkish Cast on. It’s much easier and I can start both socks at the same time on the same needle. You can get a little tutorial on the Turkish Cast On here from Fluffy Knitter Deb. Instead of using two different circular needles though, I just use one 47″ long Addi Turbo. The first one I wrap an extra 1/2 time and let it hang down the front while I wrap and knit the second one. Then I drop the yarn from that ball and pick up the yarn and knit the wraps on the first toe.
